Out in the county

Ball games, chamber breakfasts, front porches and parking lots. This is what running for the Board of Education actually looks like.

Friday night, Terry Sanford. Ten years on the sideline as booster club president, long before there was a campaign.
Out in the neighborhoods. A playground, a parking lot, a front yard. Most of this race is one conversation at a time.
Greater Fayetteville Chamber. Cumberland County Schools is the county's second largest employer. The business community has a stake in this.
Father and son. Both of his boys went through Cumberland County Schools. That is the whole reason he is doing this.
Under the tent. County events, festivals, and whichever booth will have him.
First day. One son graduated this year. The other started at Terry Sanford this fall.
Charity scramble. Half of Cumberland County business gets done on a golf course, and he is not above it.
Wherever people are. A quick photo with a supporter after a long day of it.
